RCV Vertical Lift Loader: Higher Lift & Longer Reach

ASV's RCV Vertical Lift Loader has an innovative pivoting loader linkage that provides a near-vertical lift path, keeping the load close to the machine throughout the lift cycle.

The RCV is a vertical lift rubber track loader that excels at jobs requiring higher lift height, longer reach and high flow hydraulics. The RCV’s innovative pivoting loader linkage results in a near-vertical lift path, keeping the load close to the machine throughout the lift cycle. This maximizes the RCV’s 4,000-lb rated operating capacity, so you can lift and place heavy loads yet still have reach at full lift to center-load high-sided dump trucks or hoppers.

Quick Response, Fast Cycle Times

The RCV provides a great combination of power and agility. It is powered by the 86hp Perkins 1104C-44 N.A. diesel engine – a 4.4 liter, 4-cylinder engine with high output, low emissions and low sound. Machine weight has been carefully matched to the horsepower rating. As a result you get exceptionally quick response and fast cycle times. With Posi-Power™ Control (PPC) an integral part of the powertrain, you can work the RCV to its fullest potential as it automatically shifts the hydrostat to match available horsepower. It’s virtually impossible to stall the engine.

The RCV allows exceptional visibility to the rear, sides and forward of the machine.

Intelligent Loader Design

The RCV is the first vertical-lift rubber track loader with an intelligent loader design that allows exceptional visibility to the rear, sides and forward of the machine. The RCV comes standard with many timesaving features including a hydraulic quick-attach, quick-connect hydraulic fittings and selectable self-leveling.

Advanced Hydraulics

The RCV features the one of the most advanced hydraulic systems available. Tracks are directly driven by single-speed drive motors, with travel speeds up to 6 mph. The hydraulic system provides up to 38 gpm to the standard high flow auxiliary circuit on demand or 20 gpm to the low flow circuit. The RCV's load-sensing hydraulic system is highly efficient, producing up to 10% more hydraulic horsepower compared to less efficient systems. As a result, you get more done and you get it done faster.

Advanced Rubber Track Undercarriage

The RCV uses ASV's patented rubber track undercarriage. The RCV was designed from the ground up to run on a suspended rubber track undercarriage with no compromises to machine width, ground clearance and machine balance. You get maximum traction and a smoother ride. Forty-two wheeled contact points spread the machine weight out over 18-inch wide rubber tracks, exerting only 3.4 psi ground pressure. With that much track on the ground, you crawl over the most fragile ground with minimal surface disturbance. You can also work productively in soft mud and snow.

Smooth & Quiet Ride

No steel inside the tracks means the RCV is smooth, quiet and very efficient. The internal positive drive system uses hydrostatically-driven sprockets with free-turning rollers to drive the track. This unique system minimizes friction between drive components and the track. As a result, travel speeds are much higher than on systems with steel sprockets and rubber-bonded steel tracks. Tracks and drive components last longer, too. RCV tracks come with an exclusive 1,000 hour warranty.

Suspension of the undercarriage helps maximize contact with the ground for better traction and stability. It also gives a much smoother ride for the operator, improves load-retention and is easier on the machine, too.

Comfortable Operation

The RCVs operator station has more features and built-in comfort than ever before. New joystick controls have integrated hydraulic and electric attachment controls for precise, low-effort operation. A full spectrum of gauges and switches are conveniently located for easy view and reach. Safety-related features include full ROPS/ FOPS canopy, lap bar, comfortable seat belt and brake. An enclosed cab with sound insulation is also available.

An air conditioner/heater option can be integrated into the operator station with an automotive-like finish, eliminating exterior compressors and space-robbing blowers.

Tilt-up Service Access

A tilt-up ROPS/FOPS canopy makes access to the hydraulic system quick and easy. Service to the engine and cooling package is through a tilt-up rear hood.
